Strop is a special boy being the only male retained from the gorgeous Puddles who is now retired and just playing the grand matriarch at Tinsnips.
He lives with his older sibling Squeak and is very much like her in type and attitude. He is very raw and probably will not mature into the dog we hope he will be until he is at least 3. From July 2010 he became eligible to compete against the big boys for his championship. I have taken him along to a few shows but mainly he enjoys his life sharing his toys and playing with his mates at Tinsnips. He was lucky enough to be awarded "PUPPY IN SHOW" at the Dachshund Club of Vic Specialty show Sept 2010 under breed specialist Mike Turner (UK), and Strop has also acheived a Best in Hound Group at 9 months beating out 102 hounds! He is finally getting the idea of being a showdog although he doesnt feel that standing in a line is much fun! In less than 4 months Strop gained the required 100 points for his Aust. Championship but had to achieve 25 more after turning 12 months . He did this in 4 shows and now has earned the well deserved status of Champion. He has a great future in front of him as he is slowly maturing into the dog I thought he would be.
